The Babe Ruth Softball program, designed for girls ages 5 through 18, was established in 1984. The strength of the program rests in its simplicity and its democracy. Each local league is an autonomous unit with full authority to administer its own program. We believe that a league must be able to structure itself according to the needs of the community. Our official age divisions include 8U, 10U, 12U, 14U and 18U. The softball 12U division offers T-Ball, Rookie, Minor, and Major divisions as described under the Babe Ruth Softball Rules and Regulations.
Babe Ruth Softball, above all, is for youth participation, and in adopting rules, establishing standards and planning, the primary consideration at all levels is what is best for the participants.
